FRESH Networks, an innovative agtech startup, today announced its official launch after nearly three years in stealth mode. The company has developed a groundbreaking smart milk distribution solution that is poised to revolutionize Kenya's $1 billion dairy market.

FRESH Networks offers dairy companies technology that enables them to compete profitably in the $1.2B informal milk market by directly retailing safe, affordable milk in flexible quantities through a network of smart FRESH milk dispensers. FRESH drop-in technology at milk processing plants and FRESH’s smart logistics solutions enable dairies to ensure dispensers are always stocked. The FRESH cloud tracks data from across the distribution network and enables smart inventory forecasting, dynamic pricing, real-time operating flexibility, rapid payment cycles, and high standards of milk quality and safety.

Incubated within KOKO Networks, FRESH Networks has benefitted from KOKO’s decade-long experience developing and operating a network of over 3,000 cooking fuel dispensers that serve nearly 1.3 million households in Kenya and Rwanda.

Working with leading dairy industry partners, FRESH has successfully adapted KOKO’s core distribution technologies for the milk industry, and through pilots in Kenya, Rwanda, and India demonstrated the potential to profitably shift end-consumers away from informal milk channels.

"FRESH Networks is unlocking the untapped potential of the Kenyan dairy market," said Graham Benton, Managing Director of FRESH Networks. "Our technology empowers dairy companies to grow by providing safe and affordable milk to previously-underserved communities, while creating better opportunities for farmers who currently supply the informal retail market. We are excited to partner with industry leaders, strategic investors and regulators to bring this transformative solution to scale."
